Lion Craft For Kids

This lion craft is an upcycled craft made from toilet paper tubes. Perfect craft for a Lion King lover.

My kids love Lion Guard (I love Lion King). We made this lion craft to go along with our books about Lion Guard. I see us watching the movie in the near future.

This kids craft is a great way to use toilet paper tubes (it requires 4 of them). We also used scrap cardboard from a cereal box, so it ended up being an upcycled craft.

This animal kids craft will go well with books about lions. I love reading a book and then creating a craft to reinforce the lessons in the book.

Lion Craft Instructions

Step 1: Cover 4 toilet paper tubes with yellow construction paper. To do this, simply glue yellow construction paper onto toilet paper tubes.

Step 2: Stand the cardboard tubes upright. Next, glue the 4 yellow toilet paper tubes together. Glue 2 tubes together for the front legs and glue 2 tubes together for the back legs. See picture below.

Step 3: Cut a square from yellow construction paper just big enough to cover the 4 toilet paper tubes. This is the body of the lion.

If you want to make the body sturdier, you can glue the yellow construction paper to a piece of scrap cardboard (a cereal box works perfectly).
