Cookie Monster Puppet Instructions
Paint the inside of the paper plate black. Let dry completely.
Then, paint the outside of the paper plate blue. Let dry completely.
Fold the painted paper plate in half.
Hold the toilet paper tube upright and trace around the end. Draw tabs to the circles to make it easier to attach to the toilet paper tubes. Cut out the 2 circles with tabs. These will be the eyes.
Draw a black circle in each of the white circles. Color in the black circles. Or you can cut circles from black construction paper and glue it to the white circles.
Then, glue the tabs of the eyes you made to the outside of each of the toilet paper tubes.
Paint a piece of white paper blue (the same paint you used to paint the paper plate). Let dry completely. Cover the 2 toilet paper tubes with the blue paper.
Glue the 2 blue toilet paper tubes to the top outside of your folded in half paper plate.
Make a chocolate chip cookie from white paper. Cut a circle from the white paper. Draw black circles for the chocolate chips.
Glue the chocolate chip paper cookie in cookie monster’s mouth. Let half of the cookie hang outside of the mouth.
To use this cookie monster craft as a puppet, put your fingers in back of the eyes and your thumb on the bottom of the paper plate. Move your hand to open and close cookie monster’s mouth.
Enjoy your cookie monster puppet craft.
