This mason jar snowman craft is perfect for elementary kids, as well as adults. It makes a cute winter decoration for your house.
Ever since my kids gave me a fence post snowman one year for Christmas, I love decorating with snowmen. There are so many cute snowman crafts.
Today, we made mason jar snowmen. I loved how they look in the bathrooms. They make a cute holder for cotton balls and Q-tips.
Since this craft is made with a mason jar, it is probably best suited for older elementary kids. My kids who are 7 and 8 were able to make this craft without breaking the jar.
I had them sitting at the table and had the jar on the table, so they didn’t have to handle the glass too much.
We used a scrap ribbon from a Christmas present. I want to keep this out all winter, so I didn’t use the Christmas design. I used a plain red ribbon.
We made this as a kids craft, so we used Elmer’s school glue. It has been in the bathroom for 3 weeks and the glue seems to be holding.
You could also use a hot glue gun to glue on the ribbon and the nose. Or you could use your favorite craft glue.
We used an old mason jar for this kids craft. If you don’t have any mason jars, a jelly jar would also work.
I filled the snowman jar with cotton balls and placed it on my bathroom counter. I think it looks cute, almost too cute to put away at the end of winter. Maybe I just may leave it out all year.
