This cat craft is so easy to make. All you need is construction paper, scissors, crayons, and glue. Use the free printatble cat head template to make this kids craft even easier for you.
My kids love Pete the Cat books. They also loved making this craft.

I like the repetition and songs his stories contain. It makes it easy and fun to read.

Pete The Cat Handprint Craft Supplies
- dark blue, yellow, and white construction paper
- pencil
- scissors
- black marker
- white crayon
Pete The Cat Handprint Craft Instructions
Trace your child’s hand on the dark blue construction paper. Your child’s hand should have 4 fingers pointing down and the thumb pointed out. The thumb will be the cat’s tail.
Cut out your child’s handprint.
Using the white crayon, draw tiny white lines on the tips of the blue fingers. These will be the cat’s paws.
On the dark blue construction paper, draw and cut out a cat’s head. You can use the free printable cat head as a template (see link below).
On the yellow construction paper, draw and cut out 2 eyes.
On the white paper, draw and cut out a cat’s nose and 2 small circles for the cat’s eyes.
Glue the 2 yellow eyes to the cat’s head. Next, glue the 2 white circles to the yellow eyes. Glue the nose to the cat’s head. See picture below.
Use a black marker to outline the white circles in the eyes.
Glue the cat’s head to the handprint body.
