Easy Squirrel Craft for Kids

Make an easy fall squirrel craft with this free printable template. Kids can color, cut, and glue their own squirrel holding an acorn. Perfect for home or classroom.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves change colors, the air gets crisp, and everything feels cozy. It’s the perfect time for warm drinks, fuzzy sweaters, and fun crafts with the kids. My family loves doing seasonal crafts together, especially when they involve animals we see outside.

One animal we see a lot in the fall is the squirrel. They’re always running around our yard, collecting acorns and getting ready for winter. My kids love watching them scurry up trees and hide their snacks. That’s why I created this fun squirrel craft.

This squirrel craft is simple and fun. It’s perfect for preschoolers, kindergarteners, and elementary school kids. You can use it in the classroom, at home, or even at a library story time. It doesn’t take long to set up, and kids really enjoy putting it together.

The best part? Kids can color their squirrel any way they want. Brown, gray, orange — or even a rainbow squirrel. It’s a fun way to encourage creativity while also working on fine motor skills. Plus, once it’s done, you have a cute fall decoration to hang on the fridge or wall.
