Supplies Needed

How to Make the Grandparent’s Day Flower Craft

Step 1: Print

Print the free flower template. See link below.
Step 2: Write

Write special words about grandma on the flower petals. Some ideas include “loving,” “fun,” or “amazing.”
Step 3: Color

Color the parts of the flower. We used crayons.
Step 4: Cut

Cut out the flower, flowerpot, and stem from the template.

Step 5: Trace

Trace your child’s hands on green construction paper. Cut out the handprints. These will be the leaves of the flower.

Step 7: Glue

Glue the craft together. Start by gluing the stem behind the flowerpot. Next, glue the flower to the top of the stem. Finally, glue one handprint on each side of the stem as the leaves.

My kids loved creating this special gift, and their grandma couldn’t stop smiling when she received it. I hope your kids have just as much fun making it too.
