Make an adorable polar bear craft with your kids using this easy cut and paste printable. A fun winter activity perfect for preschool and elementary kids.
Winter is the perfect time to stay inside and make crafts. One of our favorites is this adorable polar bear craft. It’s simple, fun, and perfect for kids to make.
We made this on a snowy afternoon. The kids loved it. They each gave their bear a name. One was Fluffy. The other was Snowball.
We added a mug of hot cocoa to the craft. My daughter even drew marshmallows in the cup. The bear looks extra cozy with his hat and scarf.
I love crafts that are easy to prep. This one is ready in minutes. I just printed the free printable craft template, grabbed some crayons, and sat down with the kids. No stress. No mess. Just fun.
The kids liked choosing their own colors. One bear had a red scarf. The other had rainbow paws. My son made his bear hold a blue mug. He said it was blueberry cocoa. I just smiled and let his imagination run wild.
We talked about real polar bears too. We looked them up in a book. My daughter was surprised they can swim so far. My son thought it was funny how big their paws are. It turned into a little learning moment.
You can also turn this into a story activity. After building the bear, have your child tell a story about it. Where does it live? What does it like to eat? What’s its name?
I love how this craft can be used in so many ways. It works for winter break, snow days, or classroom fun. It’s perfect for preschoolers and early elementary kids. It can even be part of an arctic animal unit.
And the best part? You don’t need any fancy supplies. No felt. No googly eyes. Just the free template, crayons, scissors, and glue.
