• 9 popsicle sticks
• White paint
• Black paint
• Googly eyes
• Orange construction paper
• Black marker

How to Make a Popsicle Stick Snowman

Step 1: Paint One Stick Black.

Start by painting one popsicle stick black. This will be part of the snowman’s top hat. Let the paint dry completely.

Step 2: Create the Snowman.

Line up seven popsicle sticks closely together and use glue to attach another popsicle stick diagonally across the back to hold them in place. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Or you could use scotch tape across the back of the popsicle sticks to hold them in place.

Step 3: Position the Hat.

Turn the popsicle sticks over (so the glue or tape is on the back). Glue the black popsicle stick at an angle, about one-third of the way down from the top of the base sticks. This forms the snowman’s hat.

Step 4: Paint the Hat and Body.

Paint the popsicle sticks above the black popsicle stick black. These will be the hat.

Paint the popsicle sticks below the black popsicle stick white. Let the paint dry completely.

Step 5: Add a Face.

Glue on two googly eyes. If you don’t have any googly eyes, you can use a black marker to draw the eyes.

Cut a small triangle from orange construction paper to create the carrot-shaped nose and glue it to the snowman’s face.

Then using a black marker, add dots to create a cheerful smile on your snowman’s face.

Step 6: Decorate Your Snowman.

If you want to make your snowman even more unique, don’t be afraid to get creative. You can add decorations to your snowman’s hat, such as jeweled stickers or snowflakes.
