Enjoy a fun day at the pumpkin farm with this easy pumpkin farm scavenger hunt. Find pumpkins, fall leaves, and more while making family memories.
Visiting a pumpkin farm is one of my favorite fall activities. The air is crisp. The leaves are colorful. And there is so much to see.
A scavenger hunt makes it even more fun. Kids love searching for pumpkin items while exploring the farm. Grown-ups get to join in too.
How to Play
Print out the pumpkin farm scavenger hunt (see link below). Bring it with you to the pumpkin farm. Give everyone a pen or pencil. When you spot something, check it off the list.

- Barn
- Big pumpkin
- Bumpy pumpkin
- Colorful tree
- Gourd
- Odd shaped pumpkin

- Pumpkin leaf
- Pumpkin vine
- Pumpkin with large stem
- Red leaf

Make It Fun
You can give small prizes like stickers or a piece of candy. You can also take a photo of each item instead of checking it off.
Don’t forget to slow down and take in the sights, smells, and sounds. The smell of fresh hay, the crunch of leaves under your feet, and the bright orange pumpkins in the sun. Encourage kids to point out anything interesting they notice, even if it’s not on the list.
If you’re going with a group, you can split into teams. Give each team a copy of the scavenger hunt list. Set a time limit and meet back to share what you found. This works well for school field trips, birthday parties, or family gatherings.
Why It’s Great
A scavenger hunt keeps kids moving and engaged. It helps them notice details they might otherwise miss. And it makes your pumpkin farm visit more memorable.
A pumpkin farm scavenger hunt is more than just a game. It’s a chance to explore, spend time together, and enjoy the best parts of fall. Whether you go once or make it a yearly tradition, it’s an easy way to create memories you’ll treasure.
