Halloween neighborhood scavenger hunt for kids. Includes free printable

This is a fun, free way to explore your neighborhood this Halloween and see how many Halloween decorations you can find.

It seems like more and more people are decorating their houses for Halloween. Last year, I noticed several houses with Halloween lights. And this year, it seems like most of the neighborhood has Halloween decorations.

I created this Halloween neighborhood scavenger hunt to make our October walks more interesting and I am sharing it with you.

This scavenger hunt has two parts.

The first part is to find 10 Halloween decorations that are listed on the free printable. When you find an item on the list, circle the item.

The second part is to keep track of the different types of pumpkins you see. An easy way to do this is to use tally marks.

Your child can keep track of how many orange pumpkins, white pumpkins, carved pumpkins and not carved pumpkins they see.

I love adding math to a fun activity. You can ask your child which pumpkin did he see the most? And which pumpkin did he see the least?

We have been seeing more white pumpkins, but the orange pumpkin category is still our winner.
