You can paint your paper plate any red and white design. I painted a pinwheel design on mine and my kids painted red and white stripes.
If you want a neater peppermint, you can use a ruler to draw lines. Or your kids can just paint stripes.
We used red and white straws. You could also use white straws if you don’t have red and white straws.

Cut out the center of a paper plate.
Optional step: draw a pinwheel design on your paper plate circle.
Using red paint, paint a red pinwheel on the center of the paper plate. Or you can paint red stripes on the paper plate circle. Let paint dry completely.
Tape a straw to the back of the painted paper plate. That’s it! This is a super easy Christmas decoration.
