Easter is one of my favorite times to craft with my kids. There’s just something about all the pastel colors, cute bunnies, and decorated eggs.
Every year, we try to come up with something new to add to our Easter decorations. This time, we made the cutest Easter gnome craft, and my kids absolutely loved it.
It was one of those crafts that kept them happily busy for a while, which is always a win in my book. My youngest had so much fun picking out colors for his gnome’s hat, while my older child got super creative and made polka dots all over the hat. I even joined in and made my own—because, honestly, who can resist a little crafting?
What I love most about this gnome is that it’s so simple to make. Just print, color, cut, and glue—it doesn’t get easier than that.

- Scissors

How to Make the Easter Gnome

Step 1: Print
Start by printing the free Easter gnome template. See link below.
Step 2: Color
Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color the parts of the gnome. Or you can use the template to trace the shapes onto construction paper.
We colored the Easter egg, nose, and hands with crayons and we used construction paper for the hat, body, and boots.
Step 3: Cut
Carefully cut out all the parts of the gnome.
Step 4: Glue
Now it’s time to glue the gnome together.
- Glue the beard onto the body.
- Then, glue the hat to the top of the body.
- Glue the nose just below the hat.
- Next, glue the Easter egg in the center of the body, on top of the beard.
- Glue a hand on each side so it looks like the gnome is holding the egg.
- Finally, glue the feet at the bottom.
And that’s it! Your adorable Easter gnome is ready to display.
