This upcycle craft is a great way to use toilet paper tubes and leftover wrapping paper from Christmas. The kids can use their creativity and imagination to decorate the toilet paper tube noisemakers.

My kids favorite part is blowing into the noisemaker and hearing the loud noise it makes. I hope you enjoy making these handmade New Year’s noisemakers.

New Year’s Noisemaker Instructions:

Punch 2 holes in each end of the toilet paper tube.

Decorate the cardboard tube with wrapping paper, markers, or stickers. I used wrapping paper to decorate the noisemaker and my son used markers.

Next, wrap a piece of wax paper over one end of the toilet paper tube. Wrap a rubber band around the wax paper and toilet paper tube to hold the wax paper to the end of the tube.
