For this St. Patrick’s Day craft, I re-used the sponge hearts that I used for Valentine’s Day. I love it when I can re-use my craft supplies.
Don’t worry if you don’t have leftover heart sponges, you can simply cut a heart shape from a sponge.
My son and I made a traditional shamrock, by sponge painting 3 hearts.
My daughter said she was making a four-leaf clover because she wants good luck. I love her creativity. I hadn’t thought about making a four-leaf clover.

Cut a heart shape from the sponge. (I used my leftover heart sponge from Valentine’s Day).
Dip your heart shaped sponge into green paint. Press onto white paper.
Make a shamrock shape by placing tips of the heart in the center. See picture above.
Use a paint brush to paint a green stem on the shamrock.

Ways To Adapt This Craft
Instead of using paint, you can try to use a stamp pad. Press the heart shaped sponge in a stamp pad instead of green paint.
