How to Make a Triangle Turkey
For a video tutorial on how to make the turkey craft, please watch the YouTube video below.
Step 1: Print the Template
First, print out the triangle turkey template. It’s two pages filled with different-sized triangles that will come together to make the turkey’s body, feathers, wings, feet, and face. See link below.
Step 2: Color or Trace
Next, you have two options:
- Color: Use crayons or markers to color each part of the turkey.
- Trace and Cut Out: You can use the printable as a template to trace each triangle onto construction paper, and then cut them out.
Step 3: Cut
Once everything is colored (or traced onto construction paper), carefully cut out each triangle piece.
Step 4: Assemble Your Turkey
Now it’s time to put it all together.
Large Triangle (Body): This is the main part of the turkey.
Eyes, Beak, and Wattle: Glue the eyes near the top of the large triangle. Then glue the small triangle beak and the wattle (that’s the red part that hangs down) just below the eyes.
Feathers: Arrange the triangle feathers along the back edge of the large triangle to make your turkey’s colorful tail.
Wings: Glue a triangle on each side of the large triangle to make the wings.
Feet: Glue two triangles at the bottom of the large triangle for feet.
Step 5: Add Details
For a final touch, use a black marker to draw two small lines on each foot to give them a “toes” look.
