Here is an easy paper plate apple wreath that is perfect for fall. It includes a free apple template to make this kids craft super simple.
Fall is about back to school, apple picking, and cooler weather. This apple wreath is a great craft to do along with apple picking.
Back to school is also associated with apples. This apple wreath craft makes an easy back to school craft. Just print out the apple templates and have the students color the apples to make their festive wreaths.
What I love about this apple craft is that it doesn’t matter if your kids color in the lines. It is perfect for younger kids who may be developing their fine motor skills. The apples get cut out.
To begin with this fall kids craft, print out the free apple template (see link below). We used 2 apple templates to make this craft. One sheet of 6 apples wasn’t enough to cover the paper plate ring.
Your kids can color or paint the apples. We made all red apples, but you can make yellow, green, and red apples. This will make a colorful wreath.
Depending on the age of your child, you may need to cut out the center of the paper plate. I had to cut out the center of the paper plate for my kids.
To make it easy when cutting out the center of the paper plate, fold the paper plate in half and then cut a slit.
We painted the paper plate ring, but you don’t have to paint the paper plate ring.
Then, cut out the paper apples from the free printable (see link below) and glue onto the paper plate wreath.

Paper Plate Apple Wreath Supplies

- Paper plate
- Crayons, paint, or colored pencils

Apple Wreath Instructions
Print the free apple template. To print the template, click on the picture below or download it to your computer.
The apple template is for personal or classroom use only and cannot be edited. You can print as many copies as you need.

We used 2 pages of the apples printable (we used 9 apples to make our wreath).
Color or paint the paper apples. We painted the apples red.
Next, cut the center out of a paper plate. Paint the paper plate ring (we painted it yellow). Let dry completely.
Then, cut out the paper apples.
Glue the paper apples onto the paper plate ring.
Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the paper plate ring (not the paper apple). Add string to the hole and tie into a loop.
