Hand Flower Craft Supplies
- Free flowerpot printable (see link below)
- picture of your child
- yellow, green, orange, and black construction paper
- white paper
- pencil
- scissors
- glue stick
Hand Flower Craft Instructions
Trace your child’s hand on the yellow construction paper. Cut out 5 handprints. These will be the flower petals.
Trace your child’s hand on the green construction paper. Cut out 2 handprints. These will be the leaves of the flower.
Next, cut out a circle from the black construction paper. This will be the center of the flower.
Then, cut out a rectangle from the green construction paper. This will be the stem of the flower.
Glue the flower stem (green rectangle) to the center of the white paper. Glue the black circle to the top of the flower stem.
Glue a picture of your child in the center of the flower.
Then, glue your child’s yellow handprints around the center of the flower for the flower petals. See picture.
Cut out a flowerpot from the orange construction paper. You can print the flowerpot pattern I used for free.
If you want, write a message on the flower pot.
Glue the flowerpot to the bottom of the flower.
Glue 1 green handprint to each side of the flower stem. See picture below.

You can use your child’s handprint for this craft. Just paint your child’s hand and then press your child’s painted hand around the flower.
