Our family loves going to the beach. The sun, the waves, and the sand make it the perfect place to play and explore. One of our favorite things to do at the beach is a scavenger hunt.
Before we leave home, I print out our beach scavenger hunt sheet. It’s so simple, but the kids love it. They get excited to search for each item on the list. And I love that it keeps them busy and active without screens.
We like to start our scavenger hunt as soon as we get settled. The kids grab their papers and start scanning the beach. Sometimes they race to see who finds something first. Other times, they walk together and work as a team.
Sometimes, the scavenger hunt leads to even more fun. One time, my kids found a half-built sand castle and decided to finish it. Another time, they found a pile of shells and ended up creating their own little shell garden near our beach blanket. The hunt became just the start of a great adventure.
