Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
Add eggs. Using the mixer, mix until well combined.
Beat in flour mixture gradually.
Fold in chocolate chunks.
Drop onto ungreased baking sheets by rounded tablespoons; press down slightly.
Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
