This snowflake garland is a Christmas craft for older kids. This garland will make a perfect Christmas decoration for a bulletin board or Christmas tree.
My kids love decorating their rooms for Christmas just as much as I love decorating for Christmas. This DIY snowflake garland is the perfect addition to my daughter’s Christmas tree.
This is not a kids craft, this craft requires adult help. I made this garland while my kids were at school.
I used 36 inches of thread at a time, otherwise it was too much to manage. I tied the strands of garland together to make 1 big strand.
Any foam shapes can be used to make this Christmas garland craft, for example snowman, gingerbread man, etc. I bought the foam shapes and pompoms from the Dollar Tree.
This garland craft was easy to make and I hope you enjoy making it.

DIY Snowflake Garland Supplies:
Snowflake Garland Instructions:
Cut about a 36 inch long piece of thread and thread it through the needle. Tie a knot at the end of the thread to secure the pompoms on the thread.
Poke the needle through the red pompom to thread the red pompom. Thread 4 more pompoms alternating red, green and white. Or any color combination you would like.
To add a snowflake on the garland, poke the needle through the front of the left side of the snowflake. Bring the thread around the back of the snowflake and poke the needle through the back of the right side of the snowflake.
Keep repeating the above steps.
When finished, tie a knot at the end of the thread so the snowflakes and pompoms stay on the thread.
I hope you enjoy your snowflake garland.
