Just print the free Christmas napkin rings template (see link below). Then, have your kids color the design, cut it out and glue it to a cardboard tube. It is that simple.
Your kids can make these DIY napkin rings while you are cooking dinner. It will keep them busy and they will enjoy decorating the table with their Christmas crafts.
I have included two different designs. A Christmas tree design and a candy cane design. Feel free to print both or just one Christmas design.
We printed them out on white paper; however, you could print them on cardstock to make them even sturdier.
If your family has assigned places for the holidays, you can write the names on the napkin rings.
My kids love to tell everyone multiple times that they made the napkin rings and the decorations. They are proud of their work.

Christmas Napkin Rings Supplies
- Free printable napkin ring template (see link below)
- Cardboard tube
- Paint
- Crayons, markers, colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue
How To Make Christmas Napkin Rings
Print the free printable napkin ring template. To print, click on the picture or you can download it to your computer.
The free printable Christmas tree and candy cane templates are for personal, or classroom use only. They cannot be edited. Feel free to print as many as you need.

First, paint your cardboard tubes (this step is optional). We used paper towel tubes. Let paint dry completely.
Next, using scissors, carefully cut the cardboard tube into 1-inch rings.
Using crayons, colored pencils, or markers, color the Christmas template. We used markers.
Then cut out the Christmas designs.
Next. glue the Christmas designs onto the cardboard tube rings.
Roll napkins and place them inside the easy Christmas napkin rings. I hope you enjoyed this kids Christmas craft.
