Depending on your child’s age and abilities, you can cut out the egg shapes ahead of time. That way your child can just decorate the paper eggs and glue it together.

My kids preferred that I cut out the egg shapes. They said the best part was decorating the egg shapes and putting together the angel.

I love this craft because you don’t need exact measurements or sizes. Every angel will look unique and that is the beauty of art.

You can use any color construction paper. We used purple, yellow, pink and blue.

Also, the egg sizes don’t have to be exact. You can make the angels as big or as small as you would like. I made the large Easter egg 7 inches, the medium Easter egg 3 inches, and the small Easter egg 1 1/2 inches.

Paper Easter Egg Angel Instructions

Cut out 1 large egg shape from the purple construction paper.

Then, cut out 2 medium egg shapes from the purple construction paper.

Next, cut out 2 large egg shapes from the yellow construction paper.

Cut out 1 medium egg shape from the pink construction paper.

Then, cut out 2 small egg shapes from the pink construction paper.

Next, cut out 1 medium egg shape from the light blue construction paper.

Decorate the 3 large eggs. The 2 yellow eggs will be the angel’s wings and the purple egg will be the angel’s body.

Next, glue 1 yellow egg to each side of the top portion of the purple egg. The yellow eggs are the angel’s wings.

The 2 medium purple eggs are the angel’s arms. Glue 1 purple medium egg on the back of the large purple egg just under the wing. Bend the medium purple egg (arm) forward. Repeat on the other side for the other angel’s arm.

Glue 1 small pink egg (this will be the angel’s hand) to each one of the medium purple eggs (the angel’s arms).

Then, decorate the medium light blue egg. This will be the egg the angel is holding. Place the blue egg under the angel’s hands and glue the angel’s hands to the blue egg.

The medium pink egg will be the angel’s head. I used scrap pieces of yarn for the hair and made a halo shape from a chenille stem. I used markers to draw the angel’s eyes, nose and mouth.

Glue the angel’s head on the top of the purple egg.
