How To Make A Shamrock Suncatcher
Please watch the video tutorial below on how to make a shamrock suncatcher.
First, print the free shamrock template. See the link below.
Next, cut out the shamrock template. To make it easier to cut out the center of the shamrock, gently fold the shamrock in half to start cutting the middle of the shamrock. Then unfold the shamrock to finish cutting out the middle of the shamrock.
Then, cut different colors of tissue paper into small squares. Don’t worry, the squares don’t need to be the same size. We used green and yellow tissue paper.
Cut a square of contact paper slightly larger than the shamrock. Peel off the backing and place the contact paper sticky side up.
Put your shamrock outline with the black side facing down on the sticky contact paper.
Next, add your squares of tissue paper to the sticky contact paper. It is okay if you go outside the outline, it will get cut out.
When you are finished adding your tissue paper, cut another square of contact paper. Peel off the backing and place the contact paper sticky side down, on top of your tissue paper shamrock.
Cut around the shamrock template (cut away the extra contact paper).
Hang your shamrock suncatcher in a window. I hope you enjoy making this shamrock suncatcher craft with your kids.
