How To Make A Heart Wreath
Cut out the center of the paper plate. An easy way to do this is to slightly fold the paper plate in half (without creasing it) and cut out the middle.
Print the free printable heart templates (see link below). We used 9 large hearts and 9 small hearts for our wreath, so we used 2 printouts of the templates.
Color or paint your hearts. Red, pink, purple, and yellow are traditional Valentine colors, but you can decorate your hearts how you like. We painted our hearts red, pink and purple.
Cut out your hearts. If you are painting the hearts, let them dry completely prior to cutting them out.
Next, glue your hearts on your paper plate ring. We used a glue stick.
There is no wrong or right way. Some people prefer to have all their hearts facing the same direction. You can glue on as many hearts as you like.
We glued the large hearts on first and then the smaller hearts.
Once your hearts are dry, you can use the hole punch to punch a hole in the paper plate ring (not a paper heart).
String a piece of yarn through the hole and tie into a loop. This is how you will hang your heart wreath.
I hope you enjoyed making your paper plate heart wreath with your kids.
