My kids love caterpillars. They want a caterpillar kit so they can watch a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. I think it is an awesome learning opportunity.

Caterpillar Craft Supplies
- 3 toilet paper tubes
- washable green and yellow paint
- paint brush
- stapler
- scissors
- googly eyes
- glue
Caterpillar Craft Instructions:
Step 1: Cut your 3 toilet paper tubes in half long ways. Depending on the age of your child, an adult may have to help with the cutting.

Step 2: Staple together the sides of the 6 pieces of toilet paper tubes. Depending on the age of your child, an adult may have to help with the stapling.

Step 3: Paint your toilet paper tube caterpillar. Be creative, there isn’t a wrong way to paint your caterpillar. Let paint dry completely.

Step 4: Next, glue googly eyes to one end of your caterpillar.

Ways To Adapt This Craft
You can paint the toilet paper tubes before cutting them. Just make sure they are completely dry before cutting them.
You can use more toilet paper tubes and make a snake. My son liked the idea of making a snake.
