Easy Torn Paper Leaf Craft for Kids

Celebrate fall with this easy torn paper leaf craft for kids. A fun, hands-on autumn activity using simple supplies like paper and glue. Great for home or classroom.

Fall is the perfect time for cozy crafts. One of our favorite fall crafts is making torn paper leaves. It’s fun, easy, and great for little kids.

We made this craft at the kitchen table after a walk in the park. Then we got to work tearing paper and creating our own leaf designs.

This craft is simple and relaxing. Kids don’t have to be perfect with the glue or the paper shapes. In fact, the rough edges make it look even more like real leaves.

You can also use this craft to talk about the seasons. Ask your child why leaves change color. Or go on a leaf hunt before doing the craft.

We hung our torn paper leaves on the fridge. You could also turn them into a fall garland or make a whole leaf collage.

It’s a fun way to celebrate fall and spend time together as a family. Give it a try this weekend.

We’ve done this craft many times, and it never gets old. My younger child loves ripping the paper. My older one enjoys arranging the colors to make the leaf look “just right.” It’s a great craft for all ages. Even I like joining in.

Another idea is to make different kinds of leaves. Try making a maple leaf, an oak leaf, or even a big pile of torn paper leaves on one sheet.

This craft also makes a great classroom activity. It’s easy to prep and works well for groups. Teachers can talk about the colors of fall and tie it into a science lesson or a storybook about autumn.
