My son is learning about the life cycle of a plant, from seeds to flowers. My daughter is learning the parts of a flower. This flower craft was perfect to make with the kids to reinforce their school lessons.
We have been reading many books about flowers and talking about signs of spring. It seems like this year spring is taking a while to come.
I included a free printable of the flower and leaf patterns we used (see link below). You can make your own flowers or feel free to print the pattern and use it.

Cupcake Liner Flower Supplies
- construction paper
- scissors
- glue stick

Cupcake Liner Flower Instructions
Step 1: Print the free printable flower shapes.
I included free printable flower shapes and leaves for you to use. To make it easier, you can print it out on colored paper.
The free printable flower shapes are for personal use or classroom use only. Feel free to print as many as you need.

Step 2: Cut out the flowers.
Cut out the flower shapes from construction paper. Also, cut out the stem and leaves from the green construction paper.
Step 3: Glue the flower.
Glue the green stem on a sheet of paper towards the center. We used blue construction paper.
Next, glue the paper flower on top of the stem.
Then, glue leaves on the flower stem.
Step 4: Add a cupcake liner.
Glue a cupcake liner in the center of the flower.
Step 5: Add decorations.
Glue a small piece of chenille stem in the center of the cupcake liner. You can also use buttons, beads or pom poms.
