Our family loves to take walks. On a nice day after dinner, we enjoy taking a walk.
To make our walks interesting, I created this neighborhood scavenger hunt.
My kids loved it. They each had their own list and they loved trying to find the items.
If you are walking for exercise or are in a hurry, you may not want to do the scavenger hunt at the same time. My kids stopped to look at things and stopped to circle items on the list.
I didn’t mind all of the stopping as I enjoyed them observing the environment around them.

Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt Instructions
First, print the scavenger hunt. You can print 1 scavenger hunt for your family or 1 for each child. Each of my kids wanted their own list.

Then, grab a clipboard if you have one. It makes it easier for your kids to mark the items they find.
As they find an item on the list, your kids should circle it.
You could make a challenge between each kid to see who can find the most items. Or you could have a challenge, kids vs adults.
Don’t forget to grab a pencil as you head out the door. You will need it to circle the items on your list.
FYI. Your walks may be longer because your kids may want to find all of the items on the scavenger hunt. I think this is a good thing.
I hope you and your family enjoy your next neighborhood walk. How many items did you find?
