This kids flag craft is perfect for Memorial Day or 4th of July. Easy to make craft stick flag.
I had to laugh with this craft. When my daughter finished, she said that it was too easy and she finished too quickly.
So, if you are looking for an easy flag craft, this craft is for you. It will even be easier if you use pre-painted craft sticks.
FYI. The blue square of the flag is in the upper left corner. The stripes on the flag start and end with a red stripe. I sometimes forget if the red or white stripe starts first.

Craft Stick Flag Supplies
- large craft sticks (I used 5)
- red, white, and blue washable paint
- paintbrush
- white star stickers
- glue
Craft Stick Flag Instructions
Paint 2 large craft sticks: 1/4 of stick blue and 3/4 of stick red.
Paint 1 craft stick: 1/4 blue and 3/4 white.
Paint 1 craft stick red.
Paint 1 craft stick white. See picture.
Next, glue the painted craft sticks together to form a flag pattern. Glue 2 smaller craft sticks across back of craft sticks. See picture. Or you could use 2 strips of tape on back to hold the craft sticks together.
Then, put small white star stickers on the blue square.
I hope you enjoy making this craft stick flag with your kids.
Ways To Modify Your Craft
To make this craft easier, you can use pre-painted craft sticks.
If you don’t have white star stickers, you can use a Q-tip dipped in white paint to paint white dots.
