Did you know you can create a simple heart garland with only two items? This chenille stem heart garland is a fun, easy way to decorate a room for Valentine’s Day.
This easy Valentine’s Day craft only uses 2 supplies: ribbon and chenille stems. I had leftover red ribbon from Christmas that I used.
The first couple of hearts were awkward to make, but then I got the hang of it and it went quickly, especially with my kid helpers.
My daughter was concerned that all the hearts were not the same size. I told her that it didn’t matter and it was important that we had fun doing it.
We enjoy seeing it hanging on the fireplace and we don’t notice that the hearts are different sizes. It makes the living room look festive for Valentine’s Day.
This would also look good as a border around a classroom bulletin board. You can have each child in your class make a chenille heart.
