This super simple kids’ valentine craft uses leftover scrap tissue paper. I never throw away tissue paper, we save it for crafts.

As soon as my daughter gets a gift with tissue paper, she squeals “we can save this for a craft.” If she is at home, sometimes she will run and put the tissue paper in our craft area.

I don’t know about you, but our house was looking empty after taking down the Christmas decorations. It is the perfect time to make Valentine decorations to brighten the house up.

The kids love decorating the house with their craft projects.

My kids made this mosaic heart craft while I was making it dinner. It was just what they needed to keep occupied and they didn’t need much help from me.

Cut a heart shape out of the white paper.

Next, cut tissue paper into small squares. Then, using a glue stick, glue the pieces of tissue paper to the white heart.

You can glue as much tissue paper as you want to the heart. Some people like to leave a space between the tissue paper to make it look like mosaic tiles.
