I love giving and receiving photo cards. To tell you a secret, when I make photo cards for family, I always make one for myself.
I write the year on it and save it. I love looking at photo craft projects and seeing how much she has grown.
This DIY Valentine’s Day photo card is simple to make. I already had all of the supplies in my craft room, which made me happy.
My daughter was proud that she could make hearts. (Last Valentine’s Day she struggled to make a heart). So, she made the hearts for this Valentine’s craft.

DIY Valentine’s Day Photo Card Supplies:
- Construction paper
- Photo of child
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers
DIY Heart Photo Card Instructions:
Fold 1 sheet of construction paper in half. (I used red.)
Next, draw a heart on the folded construction paper. The edge of the heart shape should hang over the fold in the paper.
Then, cut out the heart shape. Do not cut through the fold. Next, open the card. You should see two heart shapes connected.
Cut out another smaller heart shape from a different color construction paper. (I used pink).
Glue the smaller heart onto the bigger heart, for the front of the card.
Then, cut out a small heart shape from your child’s photo.
Glue the heart shape photo onto the front of the card.
Decorate the inside of the card.
