These DIY Valentine’s Day cards are perfect to give to friends and family. You could even glue a picture of your child in the center of the pop-out heart.
You just need construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers. You probably already have all of the supplies.
My kids loved making the pop-up card. I think their favorite part was opening the card. They giggled every time they opened it.
Younger kids may need help cutting out the heart garland depending on their scissor skills.

Heart Pop-up Card Instructions
Fan fold 1 sheet of construction paper.
Next, draw half a heart with both sides of the heart touching the folds.
Then, using scissors, cut out the half heart shape. Make sure not to cut on the folds.
Fold the other sheet of construction paper in half for the card. I used red.
Then, glue down the end of the strand of hearts to the inside of the card. Let the glue dry completely before closing the card.
Decorate the Valentine’s Day card. Don’t forget to decorate the front of your card.
