Looking for a fun, easy fall craft for kids? This printable fall wreath is perfect. With leaves, acorns, pinecones, and a bow to color. It’s simple to make, so kids can do it with minimal help.
One of my favorite things about fall is decorating with the warm, beautiful colors of autumn. And what better way to bring a touch of fall into your home than with a handmade wreath made by your kids?
This fall wreath craft is perfect for kids and makes an easy activity that the whole family can enjoy together. With this free printable template, your kids can create their very own wreath using leaves, acorns, pinecones, and a bow.
What I love most about this craft is that it’s so flexible. Kids can color the pieces in traditional fall colors, or they can get creative and use any colors they like. They can also add as many leaves and acorns as they want. My daughter added a lot of leaves, and my son added a few leaves.
You can even use the template as a guide to cut out shapes from construction paper.
What’s Included in the Printable
This free craft comes with four pages of printable templates. You’ll find a variety of fall-themed decorations, including leaves, acorns, pinecones, and a bow. There’s also a circular ring to use as the wreath base. We recommend printing it on cardstock so it’s sturdy and holds up well. See link below for the free printable.

How to Make a Fall Wreath
For a video tutorial of the fall wreath craft, please watch the YouTube video below.
Step 1: Print
First, print out the wreath template. Please note it is four pages. Your kids may not use all of the leaf templates.
Step 2: Color
Color the parts of the wreath. Or use the template pieces to cut out the shapes from colored construction paper.
We used red, orange, and yellow construction paper for the leaves. We colored the pinecone and acorns with brown markers. We used light green construction paper for our wreath ring.
Step 3: Cut
Carefully cut out all the pieces.
Step 4: Assemble the Wreath
Take the ring template or use a paper plate with the center cut out. Glue the leaves, acorns, pinecones, and bow around the ring. You can arrange them any way you like, making each wreath unique.
Step 5: Add a hole and string
Use a hole punch to make a hole at the top of the wreath. Thread a loop of string through the hole, tie a knot, and your fall wreath is ready to hang.
