Here is an easy Halloween craft for kids. This paper plate candy corn is so simple to make and looks good enough to eat.
You probably have the supplies at home to make this fall craft. I love crafts that I don’t have to buy special supplies. If you don’t have orange or yellow paint, you can use markers or crayons.
This Halloween kids craft is perfect for preschoolers and kindergarteners, as well as elementary kids. This craft reinforces their fine motor skills with painting circles. They also get to practice scissor skills by cutting the candy corn shapes.
Candy corn reminds me of fall. I don’t know if candy corn is available all year or just in the fall. I usually see displays of it around September.
My husband and kids love candy corn, so I knew this was a perfect fall craft for my kids.
This can be used for pretend Halloween play. My kids love to be creative and play with pretend food. I think their candy corn craft ended up with their toy kitchen and pretend food.

Paper Plate Candy Corn Supplies
Paper Plate Candy Corn Instructions
First, divide your paper plate into 3 circles. Paint the outer circle yellow. Then, paint the middle circle orange and leave the center circle white.
We did not paint the center circle white because our paper plate was white. If you want, you can paint your center circle white.
Next, cut your paper plate into 8 triangles.
To make it easier for my kids, I used a ruler and marked lines with a pencil on the back of the painted plate.
We cut the tips of the triangles into rounded tips. We noticed that candy corn has rounded tips. This step is optional.
I hope you enjoy making this paper plate candy corn craft with your kids.
Ways To Modify This Craft
You can use the paper plate candy corn to make a festive fall garland. Use a hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the candy corn and then string them onto yarn.
