Easy Adorable Chick Craft For Kids

This chick craft for kids is adorable because it is made with your child’s handprints. A perfect kids craft for Easter or spring.

I love that this chick’s wings are my child’s handprints. It makes the craft extra special.

I will admit I do have a soft spot for any craft made with my child’s handprint or footprint or fingerprint.

To turn this chick into an Easter chick, use crayons or colored pencils to color the white oval an Easter egg design.

Step 1: Draw and cut out an oval shape on the yellow construction paper. Then cut out a smaller oval shape from the white paper. These will form the body of the chick.

Step 2: Glue the white oval shape in the lower center of the yellow oval shape.

Step 3: Next, trace and cut out your child’s hands on the yellow construction paper. This will be the wings of the chick.

Step 4: Glue 1 yellow paper hand on each side of the chick.

One yellow paper handprint was glued on each side of the yellow oval to form the wings of the chick.

Step 5: Cut out 2 legs with webbed feet from the orange paper. This will be the chick’s legs.

Step 6: Glue the legs on the bottom of the yellow oval.

The orange paper legs were glued to the bottom of the yellow oval with the handprints on each side.

Step 7: Then, cut out a diamond shape from your orange construction paper.

Step 8: Next, glue 2 googly eyes on the top portion of the yellow oval. Then, fold the diamond shape in half. This is the chick’s beak. Glue the folded diamond below the googly eyes.
