How To Make a Shamrock Twirler

Step 1: Paint the plate.

Start by painting a paper plate green. Let the paint dry completely, then turn the plate over to paint the back of the plate green.

Then, use these templates as stencils to cut shamrock shapes from different colored construction paper. We used light green and dark green construction paper. We used 9 shamrocks on our twirler.

Or you can color the shamrocks and then cut them out.

Step 5: Glue on the shamrocks.

Once you have the shamrock shapes, glue them onto the spiral cut paper plate.

Step 6: Add a hole.

Use a hole punch to make a hole at the top of the spiral cut paper plate. This is where you’ll attach the string to hang your shamrock twirler.

Step 7: Add string.

Cut a piece of string and thread it through the hole in the paper plate. Tie the ends together to create a loop for hanging.
