This puzzle piece heart wreath craft is easy to make. It makes a festive decoration for Valentine’s Day.
This puzzle heart wreath is made with old puzzle pieces. Instead of throwing away a puzzle that is missing pieces, turn it into a beautiful craft.
If you don’t have any puzzles with missing pieces, the Dollar Tree has cheap puzzles that you can use for this craft.
I made this wreath with my kids, so we used Elmers school glue. If you want, you can glue the puzzle pieces with a hot glue gun.
I found it easier to paint the puzzle pieces with a foam paint brush. We used red, white, and pink paint, but you can use any colors that you like.
We also used a 6-inch wooden heart to make this wreath. If you don’t have a wooden heart, you can cut out a heart from a cardboard box (a cereal box will work).
To make it easy, I included a free ribbon template at the bottom of this post. It works best if you print it on cardstock.
This puzzle piece heart wreath will make a great Valentine’s gift for a family member or friend.

How To Make A Puzzle Pieces Heart Wreath
For a video tutorial on how to make the puzzle wreath, please watch the video below.
Divide the puzzle pieces into 3 equal piles. We used 45 pieces, so we had 3 piles with 15 puzzle pieces in each pile.
Paint the backs of the puzzle pieces. Paint one puzzle pieces pile red, one pile pink, and one pile white. Let the paint dry completely.
Next, glue the puzzle pieces onto the wooden frame. If you don’t have a wooden frame, you can use a heart cut from a piece of cardboard. Let glue dry completely.
Print the free love you to pieces ribbon template (see link below) onto cardstock. Cut out the ribbon template and glue to the puzzle heart. This step can be optional.
Then, glue the ribbon to the back of your heart wreath.
I hope you enjoy making this puzzle pieces heart wreath with your kids.
