Toilet Paper Tube Turkey Craft : Kids Thanksgiving Craft

Are you looking for a super simple kids Thanksgiving craft?   This toilet paper tube turkey craft was made in less than 30 minutes.

Toilet Paper Tube Turkey : kids Thanksgiving craft. Easy and quick fall craft.

We made this simple Thanksgiving craft on a cold, cloudy afternoon.  It was the perfect craft as we always have toilet paper tubes, construction paper, glue and markers.

I keep empty cardboard tubes and scrap construction paper, as well as other stuff, to use for crafts.   My kids are always seeing an empty box and asking if we can save it for a craft. What supplies do you keep?

My kids loved playing with their turkeys after they were finished.

Any color of construction paper will work for the feathers.  A tip from my daughter : if you put a red feather next to a green feather, it will be a Christmas turkey.

Toilet Paper Tube Turkey Supplies:

Toilet Paper Tube Turkey Craft Instructions:

Cut 4 feather shapes from construction paper. The feathers are not big, so you can use scrap or leftover construction paper.  I save all of my kids larger scrap construction paper pieces to use in future craft projects.

Next, glue the construction paper feathers on back of toilet paper roll.

Then, draw eyes and a beak on the front of toilet paper roll. We used markers, but you can use crayons or colored pencils.

Ways To Adapt This Craft

You can also make this as a thankful turkey, where you write what you are thankful for on each feather.

The next time I make this fall craft, I will have my kids write what they are thankful for on each feather.
